The offer!
A friendly stay as house guests in our guest room. Two people, friends or couple, can stay in the room. Personally we have no issues with live-in couples but it could be a problem due to local laws.
STAY FOR TWO
The room can host two people. A couple with minor kids (under 12) can also be accommodated. There is no option of an extra bed though.
FOOD
The stay includes food. We serve what we eat. Food can be vegetarian or non-vegetarian, depending on your choice but daily non-vegetarian food may not be possible due to logistics.
WATER & ELECTRICITY
There is hot water supply via solar geyser. We have inverter based power backup. However one can not rule out breakdown in case of extreme weather.
CONVERSATIONS
We enjoy talking to people. We would love to share our stories and listen to yours. But as we have other engagements as well, we may not be always available.
ROAMING AROUND
If you like local walks then a staff member (a local villager) can take you around. One will have to book a cab for visiting Almora or other tourists destinations like Jageshwar and Katarmal. We can help organise the transport.
INTERNET
We have a wifi connection though the speeds may not be as in the city. If you have Airtel or BSNL connections then your own internet connection would serve you well.
Money matters
These charges are applicable for two adults staying in a room. Accompanying children under the age of 12, staying with parents, is inclusive in the charges. The cost includes stay and food.
Cancellation policy – 90% refund if cancelled 30 days in advance. 50% refund if cancelled between 15-30 days. No refund if cancelled in less than 15 days or in case of no show.

You can either contact us to book your stay directly, or book via AirBnB. The maximum limit for stay on AirBnB is 5 days. If you want a longer stay, please contact us directly.
House rules
As this is our home, there are a few house rules which one needs to follow.
- No smoking or drinking inside the house.
- Fixed meal timings. No room service.
- Pets are not allowed
- No loud music and angry conversation
- No use of foul language or abuses
- Possibly avoid conversations around politics and religion
- And if you believe in caste system, its best to avoid coming here
