A bit about us
Searching for our peace of land, we relocated to the mountains 8 years ago. We moved here to lead a quiet and slow life. It is this slowness, serenity and calm that we want to share with you!
Meet the hosts
We moved here with our two home schooled children. Both the kids are grown ups now. The elder daughter has finished her graduation while the younger one is studying in a design school.

Deepti has served the Army as a nursing officer prior to hanging her boots to take care of the kids. She has a keen interest in farming, health, ayurveda and spirituality. At Manakaar, she is the principal host, cook, and person-in-charge of all the farm activities.
Navin is a professional designer, who also engages in writing, research and film making. He is also an artisan who works with wood and various other materials. At Manakaar, he is co-host who takes care of marketing communication, logistics, external affairs, and civil maintenance.
While Deepti is the native of Pauri Garhwal, Navin is the native of Johar valley of Pithoragarh district. And yet we landed up in Almora. How and why we landed up here is interesting story, which we have shared as a post.
